my sister in law works in a school and they have hatch chicks as a project for the school kids. 9/10 hatched 4 girls 5 boys.
she noticed one of the boys had a bad foot so they taped it up as told to by the people that supply the chicks but now the other chicks have started to peck it. (or eat it as the kids put it)lol.
we wasn't sure what to do so i told her to seperate the brooder into 2 sections and put a lamp in each section so the poorly chick was on her own.
i hope we've done the right thing any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
