I'm confused too now. I'm sure I have flowers on my desiree's which I'm told shouldn't be ready til September  :?:

It`s the earlies that flower and the foliage turns quite quickly,later potatoes flower,sometimes produce little green,inedible,fruit and the tubers continue to grow in which case you watch the foliage and in september it may start to yellow,then have a look at your tatties.It took me ages to get a grasp on firstearlies,seconds.....keep a note of what type you are growing and when you crop each year and eventually you will have several that you really like and their growth patterns in your patch.
