Ok, Finally got my seed Potatoes under the soil. (With a little help from my 5yr old), I know that they will need watering but how often should i be doing it. I was thinking twice weekly dependant on the weather.

Also, and it might be a little late now but Should i have watered them straight after i put them in, or do i wait till the first shoots break the surface.

You only need to water potatoes if the weather has been very hot and dry and is a good idea to do it when the tubers are swelling during the few weeks before digging them up.

AS is right as always. Event the mad compulsive waterers on our site generally limit themselves to spud watering when they flower. If you have a liitle dig and the soil is dark - that will be wet enough for spuds.
