the missing bean
« on: May 09, 2010, 22:25 »
I wondered why I had a green bean growing in 19 out of 20 pots...what happened to the 20th I wondered? ......knowing me I had probably missed that pot when sowing

But no :) when I turned the tray around I found it....it had pushed its way through the paper and was growing out of the side
I've never had this happen before...has anyone else?

Probably a rogue French bean (they rarely come out on top!)   8)  ::)

(Actually, yes Mum. Even happened when I used toilet roll tubes for germination - tough and determined little blighters!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

If it's in a paper pot and touching the side, maybe some light was getting to it through the paper and it decided to take a shortcut!  :)

Perhaps the print was the wrong way round and it became confused!    ::)

Bean there and done it!
Now it's funny you should say that   but I have discovered myself doing that and then wondering which pot has the next bit of a particular article that has caught my eye mid way through making a set of pots!
