Shell particles
« on: May 01, 2010, 12:04 »
One of my hens lays eggs with minute particles of shell in a cluster on the shell of her eggs.  I normally manage to scrape these off with my fingernail or if the egg is dirty it washes off under the tap. Can anybody tell me what causes it?

it is calcium, one of mine does it all the time, I just leave it.
Staffies are softer than you think.
