Hello All

I was kindly given some parsnip plants by my plot neighbour which I planted Monday I gave them a good drink at the time of planting, when I went over the plot tonight even though we've had no rain when I earthed up the spuds the ground is still pretty damp so should I be watering the parsnips as they are new/young plants or leaving so the roots go down looking for moisture - like I said it doesnt take much to confused me.

My other neighbour gave me some lettuce plants I notice he had watered his - so I thought I'd do likewise

What were the parsips in, Missy. Come to that, how big were they? He wasn`t giving you mature plants to eat, was he?

I know I'm easily confused but even I know the difference between a parsnip and a seedling - by the way my neighbour did actually give me a parsnip for my tea
