Can anyone tell me if cauliflower leaves are poisonous to my hens please

no they are fine - mine eat them

I'm sure others will tell me if I'm wrong but I'm certain they're fine. They're just the cabbage family and it's ok for people to eat them, so I wouldn't have any worries about my hens eating them in moderate quantities.

Unless they were still attached to the caulis growing in my veg patch of course, and then I would be very cross!

Mine eat cauliflowers and anything else that they can get to.

My chickens love these.  I have been quite lucky on a few occasions and have got some from the local market stall for free as they usually just throw the extra leaves off.  When I am feeling flush I treat the chickens to one from the local supermarket.  I must be one of the few customers who searches through the cauliflowers to see which one has the most leaves rather than the biggest cauliflower!
