I've gone a bit mad with my tom's and I'm running out of space. I've put 20 in large pots at the top of my garden which gets the most sunlight but I have another 30 which will have to be placed around the rest of the garden.

I read on one of the other posts that toms don't need full sun light is this true?

They do need quite a lot of sunshine, especially for ripening, but I'm sure dappled light would'nt hurt

Thanks agapanthus, I think they will get about 5 hours of full sun and a where as at the top of the garden is always in full sun as there is no shading.

If they don't ripen you can put a few near a ripe banana or another ripe tom on your window sill or kitchen work top and they will ripen.
One year I grew loads and still had green ones late in the year so we put them in fruit boxes from the supermarket, kept them cool and ripened a few at a time, it was surprising how well they lasted, just sitting there in boxes.
