I think they have to be kept seperate. Caralou and Chicken lady have quail so may be worth sending either of them a pm for advice  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

Hi...  You should not keep them together as the chooks will make short work of them :(

they dont need special food, layer is all they require... and they dont need acres of space either..... so easy to keep within a chook pen, just not as chook food :)

There are not loads  of us quail breeders around..... I have had people drive from Bedford, southampton,  and Welwyn Garden  this week.... all a good hour plus drive away :)

If you check out the breeders pages then you may find someone near to you :)

I love Pekins, Polands and Seramas :) and eggs!!!

My pleasure..... I am wondering if I can put the odd retired 'pet' quail in with my Seramas though.... they dont seem to be so 'in for the kill' as the larger chooks :)  Might try and be on stand by for emergencies :)

will let you know the outcome :)

Our pet supplies shop keeps quails with their Bantams and they don't seem to have any problems. They are very small bantams though, Dutch I think.

I bet my exbats would make mincemeat out of a quail!!!  Although my daughters favourite pet male has managed to peck the scalp off of his boyfriend!  I might feed him to the chooks if he isnt careful :( :(
