JA257 hens?
« on: March 30, 2010, 19:14 »
OK, having ordered 4 "soli ferme" chicks, I then couldn't find any reference to them in google!  I went abck today and checked - they also had a "JA257" next to the name - thing is I can't find any reference to them in google either - just JA757.

Before I pick them up I need to know if I have inadvertently ordered meat birds!  Can anyone shed any light on the subject?

Seem to remember them both being meat birds, I think one put the weight on quicker  757?
I think a guy called poulet was selling them on another forum?
May have been River Cottage.

if you have a look at the bottom of the page in this link I think you will find that they are table birds  :(

Staffies are softer than you think.
