[Kernewek chooks]

Hi! I'm new to chooks but have had ducks and geese before. I like to hatch my birds myself but this year so far I've hatched two batches of 6 and 7 eggs and been left with ALL cockerals and only one girlie!! Not good for my plan of fresh eggs from the garden. I've looked on internet, books etc but can find no reason for this other than my own bad luck. Has anyone any suggestions??? could it be down to temperature or perhaps that it was early in the year. I'm about to set another batch next week so am desperate to get it right this time or I might be buying supermarket eggs for some time to come :roll:  :o

correct sods law i have had it hapen many times just keep setting eggs it will come right.
and the cocks make great eating.

You're not on your own my first batch of chicks in march now known as 1,2,3 & 4 all cockerals   .  Second batch (5,6 & 7)  I think possible 1 girlie out of 3  :? .  About to set some guinea fowl so goodness only knows.    :roll:
