You can start off things to plant out later (leeks, beetroot, etc.)

I have started Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Melons, Sweet peppers, Aubergines, Chillies to grow in the greenhouse (once frost danger has passed). These will live in my (cold) conservatory in the meantime - and come into the utility corridor on cold nights - I don't let them get below 10C otherwise their growth "stalls". Beware that these will be big, if sown now, before you can safely plant them out - so you need somewhere to care for them - or delay sowing a bit longer.

I also grow Sweetcorn, Leaf beet and Dwarf French beans in my cold greenhouse for an early crop. (and again in the Autumn for a late crop Dwarf French beans and Chinese Cabbage and to overwinter Leaf beet, Pak Choi, Winter Lettuce, Kohl Rabi.

I start most things off in the greenhouse. By mid summer I generally empty it, otherwise everything gets cooked.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
