I have a hen which stopped eating a few days ago who is normally perky. When I checked her crop was full but not overly so. Brought her indoors and have been treating with liquid parafin and now her crop afer a few hours swells with gas (which stinks). I can make her burp the gas away and have milked her crop after giving enough water to encourage the muck out. Got out much dark green foul smelling gunk but can still feel grains or pellets that wont come out. They have been there for last 2 days as been with holding hard food completely. Will be taking to the vet to probably get her tubed and fluched completely in the morning. Is there anythig else I could have done sooner or any different treatment recommended for this. Not pooing very much and what is coming out is chalky, white with glutinous blobs in it. Advice please!
