Second year for me - I am amazed at how much easier the digging was this time around!!

I was lanning on digging in some chicken pellet manure and some blood, fish and bone into the area I was planting the spuds. Will that be ok?

it may be more beneficial to sow your spuds and than top dress with chicken pellet as they are slow releasing.

I plant my seed spuds with a bulb planter with a handful of spud fertiliser(dont let it touch the seed). Than top dress when the haulm is progressed.

When you open the drill for your spuds spread some chicken pellets, when you are about to earth up treat the ground with Superphosphate,

This wasn't done by design, more luck than judgment.
I planted some mustard, as agreen manure to overwinter.
This was done on my next years spud area, one of the other plot holders told me , mustard keeps the eel worms away, As i said more luck than judgment.
