Hi, can someone help please? 2 of my chickens..one 2 years old and the other 1 year old and just gone through first moult...have passed what I've been told is a 'lash', part of their reproductive system. Does anyone know anything about this, if it's correct, why it happens etc..and will my hens be able to lay anymore?

have a look at this as there seems to be mixed opinions as to whether they will lay again, not noticed mine lay a lash (if they have it could have got eaten) but my old girls are still laying.

I also think there are a couple of photos on the forum somewhere so will go and try to find them
