The sriral ones are really horrid to get on thats why I use the flat ones. I tuck chicken under one arm and you can put the flat ones on with the other hand. They are very flexable. Start off by opening it up a bit then just continue wrapping the ring around the leg - dead easy! Honest.

Promiss they are easy to use. Get the feel by wrapping them round your finger. They are a bit like those reflective arm bands you can get where when they are flat ok then you can wrap them round. Ring before you order so you get the correct sizes as they come in bantam, standard and large for turkeys etc. For full grown bird I use the standard. Sizes in mm. You can get them individual and in packs and they will advise an what size. If I can do it anyone can!!!!

I've used the springly spirals and don't remember a problem, though did take 2 of us.  OH held them and I put them on.  Start with one end, and they just wrap round.  You need to practice on someone's finger.

well i had a look at my spiral rings and cut them in half, which seemed to work abit, but ive lost most of the colours, so i can't do that as putting the same colour on all of them would defeat the purpose  ::) so i shall oreder the leg rings sujjested, but the type i like only goes up to 20mm so i suppose the boys will just have to go without  :D

I use 18mm spirals in four colours ... takes two to put on, but has been OK so far.
two daughters, nine hens, two goldfish, three cats ...
