I tried looking up fat content of turkey eggs and one site I got said they had under half the fat content of a hens egg.  Today I looked up cholesterol and it said they had more
Our internet here is rubbish (this morning I was at the library- it was rubbish there too)
Can anyone here look up turkey and chicken egg cholesterol for me please?  I would be so very grateful

The sites I have found seem to confirm that they are in fact higher in fat and cholesterol per gram than chicken eggs - similar to a duck egg (I'm guessing therefore that the yolk is larger than a chicken egg as is with duck eggs?). Quail eggs are also higher in fat/calorific content per gram - something I only realised when ww pointing up my lunch!

But modern research says that eggs do not increase cholesterol in people that eat them. I don't believe the 'heart' diet cautions on eggs anymore?

sorry I knew that you had posted but didn't read the link  You know me mouth always in gear (or in this case fingers in gear) 
So glad that I decided to guinea fowl as they appear to be the lowest cholesterol in the yolk

The cholesterol content of food makes up about 15% of the level in the bloodstream. The body makes cholesterol mostly in the liver and when combined with a protein carrier can be the well publicised HDL(good) or LDL (bad). Advice is that you should not exceed 300mg cholesterol per day in your food, but this is 'public health'. Individuals can consume high quantities and have low blood levels, so perhaps a check on your own (or the egg consumers) cholesterol levels might be worthwhile before worrying about the eggs. As always - choose your parents carefully! HTH
