I grew from seed three years ago at this time and had a good crop (grown in greenhouse) I left it later the last two years and which ever seed did not do half as well. So I have sown seed in my greenhouse on a heated mat this year already and I will keep you posted, but I am optomistic, just have to remember to contain the fruits to 4 or so per plant.

can anyone tell me how long the aubergines keep on the plant?do you have to pick them pretty quick or can you use them say one a week and they will still be fresh? : i'm thinking of growing two plants in the greenhouse ,will these last me the summer ?if they fruit of course.!

If you leave them too long on the plants, the skin goes dull and you find that the seeds are brown when you cut them open. So I pick them when they do not grow any bigger and the skin is still shiny.
