Well, i have found my local allotment association are selling compost for next to nothing, so filling up my buckets with that at the weekend!

I will make sure they are in sunlight this time though, comments about being in the shade may be a primary reason i got too much foliage.  I did have them "out of the way" as such.

Anyone know if Sainsbury also does this with flower buckets? If so, who do you ask about it, customer service desk?

I asked in Sainsburys and they said no 

I went in my Sainsbury last Sunday and asked at customer services and they gave me 5 buckets. They said I could take any buckets that were empty on the flower display and all they asked was that I put a few pence in the charity box.
