Thank you to whoever has sent rain to the drought-ridden south.  It has arrived with a steady drizzle today, is watering my spuds and peas, is re-filling my waterbutts and my newly emerged froggies are leaping for joy!

Milkman - Have just looked at your allotment pictures - you have some large blue hoops in your picture. Where do you get them? We would love some! (Have also just posted some pics of our allotment and things in our personal gallery - have a look sometime!) Regards Oliver

They are plastic water pipes - cut into short lengths and pushed onto bamboo sticks. I'm trying to find out the cheapest source - and lurking around large trenches looking for offcuts.
