i planted some garlic last week and then read that it should of gone in ages ago will it still produce this year? :?:

You are too early (for next year) and much too late for this year.  You may be able to harvest a round bulb about the same size as the clove you planted.  This can be replanted (Aug- Dec).

Better suggestion is to pull and eat the whole plant (except roots) in stir fries.  It is delicious.
