If not how much space do I need and what are the best vareties.

Thanks will get looking for some to plant as I  can't get any frebbies as my lotty is in my garden. Will have to look in the garden centres then.

You will need 5 ft between plants.

Do not be tempted by seed. Ask your neighbours if you can chop a lump of root off theirs.

Because it will be about 3 years before it is worth picking. With roots you should not pick for the first year but OK after that.

Being a mere 25 miles from the "rhubarb triangle" I am amazed that so few people have it on their allotments(round here).

I'm amazed that we've not got a member near Bolton with a spare crown for Broadhaven!
