Jeyes Fluid and Worms
« on: November 02, 2009, 15:51 »
When I came home from work  today I could tell that my husband had been cleaning with Jeyes Fluid because the odor hit me as soon as I got out of the car.  When I went into the house, he was definitely upset.  He told me that he had put less than a cap full in a big watering can and poured it over our patio in the back.  Instantly all these huge worms popped up from between the cracks and out hen, Repecka was on them in a flash.  He just couldn't catch her fast enough. So now we are watching her and praying that she isn't poisoned.  We feel awful and are so worried!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

Hi
I use the spray version all the time to spray my perches, nest box's etc. On the can it says it can be used for rabbit hutches etc, I've used it a dozen or more times and no problems of any type including 'red mite'.

Hi
I thought there were 2 kinds of jeyes, one says suitable for pet housing the other is for patios/paths? Or are they the same thing?

I use the spray to spot clean in the coup, and generally round the steps in the pen.  Can't remeber if I ever the the small print, so better go and do it now!

Anyway, having been using it for 3 months, and girls are thriving, so must be OK.
