Hi, I have 5 ex bats and before the summer they all stopped laying. They are very healthy and have not had a moult and i have had them for a year so i thought that they had come to the end of laying and were going to have a happy retirement. I bought 3 hybrids for the eggs and they are laying well and are all happy together. For the last week my ex bats have started to lay again that was a nice surprise as i have had to buy eggs all summer. But i am wondering why they have started again especially this time of year and if anyone has had this happen to them.

we have 2 wyandottes, both the same age, one has moulted fully, no eggs for weeks, one has carried on laying with no moult ?

chucks will lay when they are happy and stress free, which is just how yours must be now, enjoy it while it lasts, but dont try to work out why...lol
