Mixing licence

Hi I have read that you need a mixing licence to obtain Flubenvet, where would i get such a licence----Thanks   Fred
2 x Warrens, 5 x ex batts, 3 x Daughters, 5 x grandsons, 1 x granddaughter, 1 x wife, this is enough for 1 x man

I have just had a look at link, am i right in saying you need a prescription from a vet to obtain Flubenvet-----Fred

For the 2.5% premix I believe so but not for the 1%

£17 seems alot when most of us only have a few birds, i would proberbly go for another product and bin the eggs for 7 days or so, thanks for info-----Fred

i did`nt know it had a shelf life that long i will keep that in mind if i ever need worming remedies.
I don`t know if i should start another post but as i am new to hen keeping and the weather forecast for sunday is rain do chooks like rain or do they hide, any info gratefull---Fred

some of mine have sense and take cover but others just wander around looking like drowned rats and look really sorry for themselves  :lol:. Just make sure they have an area to shelter from the weather should they choose to do so.

Do your hens free range? If so the advice on here is to worm every 6 months like you would for a dog or cat. I use flubenvet as I believe it is the most effective, it is expensive but does last for ages.
And they were right about the weather today:wacko:

Hi Jo, my hens do free range they will proberbly need worming in the spring so plenty of time to get flubenvet.
The weather is really bad today and chooks have decided to hide under garden swing so thats where i have put there food, if it gets worse coop is open they can go in there---Fred
