Wood Preservative
« on: October 19, 2009, 18:44 »
I am purchasing a number of wooden pallets with a view to constructing outdoor and indoor raised beds. I have some concerns of what wood preservative I should use? What has others used for the wood of their raised beds?
Thanks.

I think these days all products are pretty OK, some recommend the cuprinol products - try a forum search and you'll find a range of opinions and posts  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

As long as it`s a waterbased product I don`t see a problem.

Sorry about this!!! The products which have been mention. Is this the same stuff I slap onto the fence and shed? Usually a cedar red colour?

I have a feeling that Spam might work just as well. Probably used by the UK government so it must work.

Edited to point out that I was referring to a post (since removed), which was advertising a wonder preservative, rather than Yorkie's post above!
