Hi, Can anyone please help I have got chooks that i love to bits but i am thinking about getting a couple of ducks to go with them. I really need to know if this is sich a good idea.
First what sort do i get i have heard that muscovy ducks are dont make to much noise and this is important because of the neighbours. Also how do you stop the chickens getting in the water and not drowning the last thing is do they eat the same as chickens. Hope you can help. Jeanette

Hi Jeanette, can't advise about the ducks, but my garden has a large pond and the girlies have never bothered with it.  I wondered about getting ducks but my husband vetoed the idea saying they would totally trash the garden, not that chickens don't! alison

I have both and without a doubt DUCKS are the best!  The chickens won't intentionally goin the pond they may slip in accidently so be careful.  Mine eat the same as well so no worry there either!
Noisy well yes they can be! But only quacking so not like a dog barking noise   they like to let you know it's going to rain too ..... So not all bad news.

I've got both and they are different, very, but the ducks are more comical 
Saw a Muscovy today and they are huge!
