I have got 3 new girls and have had them for 12 days  i have put them in with my other girls because i do not have anywhere to seperate them  and i put them in the coup when it was dark. When the new girls come out of the coup during the day they fly up on to a shelve in the run and stay there all day they wont even come down for food or water so i am putting it on the shelve for them. At night they all cuddle up together the new ones with the others. My question is how do i get them of the shelve? as it is only small and i would love to see them all together also living on a shelve is not very nice for them My older girls cant fly so the new ones arnt mixing with them. Any ideas very helpful . Thanks

Hi Jeanette
You could try removing the shelf or putting stuff on it so there's no room for the chooks. Expect there to be some battles though while they sort out who's who in the pecking order, at the moment it sounds like they're avoiding the issue.

Just have patience Jeanette they'll come down eventually as no girl likes to be left on the shelf for too long!
