I would expect most pumpkins to have gone orange by now - is it showing any signs of orange at all? If so then I would leave it for now and just make sure you harvest before the frosts. Keep it off damp soil and make sure it gets plenty of sun. If not then I'm not sure what to suggest.

They don't all go orange......some go creamy beige (like butternuts squash) (can you remember from the seed pkt?).......the thing to watch for is the change in the colour and that the skin has gone really hard.If the weather turns quickly cut them with a tbar of stalk from the main stem and put them in greenhouse/conservatory/bright window for a couple of weeks to ripen :)

depending on the variety it can go different colours orange light blue mine are a butternut squash colour if you give it a knock like on a door and it sounds hollow then its ready but iv left mine in until i see the leaves dyeing of and also to make them go orange if they are a variety that do change colour then just leave them to ripen on a a table

My plants have started dying back but aren't quite done for yet, so I thougth I'd leave the last few pumkpins out there to get as much sun as possible. I've lifted my remaining ones off the ground and rested them on planks, because I had one lovely-looking pumpkin ripening nicely last week, but it turned out to be going rotten from underneath where it had been resting on grass. :(
