Hi everybody, i have usually sown seeds in pots or at correct spacing in growing site. Got my lottie last year. Im now going to start using a seed bed at allottment. This may seem a silly question, but do you have to use a rotation system for your seed bed??  :? Many thanks

as far as I know no, as the veg is not in there for long enough for virus/disease etc to get established, plus you could always skim say the top six inch and replace with fresh every year.

No need to rotate.

Hints :

1. Choose an area adjacent to a path since you are then much more likely to keep it well weeded.

2. You can also use the spaces between rows of some veg as seed beds for others.

I sow brassicas in pots, we used to have a seed bed and used it year on year, never had any problem with clubroot , but it is something to consider, I think lime should be applied before sowing , you could check the ph of the soil first.
