How do you know its badgers ?

last year the badgers stripped our sweetcorn - found out afterward that this happens every year. this year, ours are the last sweetcorn standing at the allotment while everyone else's have been got at: two tips...

1 Grow sweetcorn surrounded by bush courgettes. this is suppose to be mutually beneficial anyway, but also I think the stiff leaves and the prickly stems (I've grazed my arm on them several times!) keep the badgers off

2 Get OH to wee in a bucket (his modesty means he can only "go" in the shed) and distribute it around the area. obviously being careful to avoid above mentioned courgettes....

S*ds law, I'll go up tomorrow and the evil stripey ones will have trashed our lottie...
