Hi All,
As you've guessed I'm new to this - just got my first 3 partridge bantams tonite.
hopefully they will settle in well but can you tell me (as I get conflicting info)on;
1. I am told that \i can use Ivermectin for the treatment of redmite/louse and also for worms. this is right?
2. How much water do 3 bantams at 16weeks old drink?
3. should layers pellets be given all day or should I let them have (what I have read in several books) 80gm each, I would also be giving them 'treats' in the afternoons like grain, sweetcorn etc...?
4. can I give corn on the cob straight off the plant or should I cook it as my neighbour has suggested?

sorry if this is alittle basic but each time I talk to someone I get a different answer.
thanks
  :)

Ivermectin is not licensed for use in poultry so there are no guidelines for egg withdrawal (although at 16 weeks you shouldn't have to worry about it).  It does treat internal and external parasites.  Sorry don't know how much bantams drink, err on the side of putting too much down.  Let them have access to layers all day (but put it where rodents can't get to at night and give treats later in the day.  Corn on the cob should be fine.

ours have raw corn from the supermarket...love it, just cut a whole one into pieces so all get a piece.
