does anyone have any information about pruning chillies and aubergines to overwinter and give them a start for next year ,i read or heard about somewhere but have lost the information.

Definitely worth doing Elcie, as they come into flower and fruit much earlier than new plants grown from seed  ;)

I just cut off any leggy looking bits back to a leaf node to make a tidy shape, and keep the plants on the dry side (even drier than usual  :lol:) all winter in a cool greenhouse or on the windowsill indoors (kitchen as it' not too warm)

Give them a dollop of tomato food come spring after the first decent watering and they're away. :D :D
