Me again!

My 8 ex batt girl have now been here for 2 weeks, and all well, perky, eating, pooing & 66 eggs to date, so I think doing quite well.

As you would expect feathers were in a dreadful state.  Tilly is just quills.  I'd noticed some improvement in general condition, but now lots of feathers around the run, so someone must be moulting, but can't tell who.

I assume it's an annual thing, and understand they might stop laying.  Already on poultry spice, and good quality layers, with corn and treats.

Anything I should do different?  Anything I should be looking out for?

Appreciate any advice.

hiya

sometimes an extra source of protein helps when growing new feathers.  Perhaps a little bit of catfood, although not too much.

Hi, i over indulge mine At the minute i make them a mix up and it consists of Sardines, rice, sweetcorn and a bit of cod liver oil, they go berserk for it , i dont give them a lot though. I've either got growers or moulting birds at the moment.

Thanks for that, I'll get some fishy type cat food when I go shopping..
