Hi a friend asked if his broody hen would hatch some quail eggs?
I have no idea as never having quail so thought someone here might know.

She would hatch them, but the chicks would have to be removed straight away or she will kill them, they seem to know they are not chickens when they hatch, same as chickens hatching pheasant eggs, this is my personal experience, others might say different.

what about duck eggs? i thought they were ok? my broody is on 5 campbells?

I've never had any problems with broody hens and duck eggs.
One of my sussex has just done her third lot of raising ducks not all this year

Never tried broodys with duck eggs, I only have two ducks    (want more) and they where hatched in the incubator, I think it is because they think quails and pheasants are mice  , but it could have just been my broodys, other people might have a different experience, but it is not something I would try again.
