hello and help
« on: August 02, 2009, 09:50 »
Hi
I am new to the forum but have been allotmenting for about 4 years.
I have a question for fellow 'experts' what causes pumpkins to burst because I have been nurturing my prize specimen through the last few weeks getting it to a football size, then overnight it split.

I am distraught it was a prize winner in the making?

thanks

Hi brewerboy,

Welcome to the Forum  :).

Its such a shame about your prize winner, I have heard it could have been too much water too quickly but I may be wrong? Someone else might know for definite?
