3rd year of my raspberry canes that I thought were autumn fruiting but seem mostly to fruit in the summer...
Fabulous last year (all that rain like scotland? I'm in london) but this year started well now lots of leaves rather yellow, canes bending over. Our cats like sitting under them - could this be a problem?
Gave them lots of food and trace elements but no better...
More water required?
Some of raspberries on some canes rather deformed too, never had that before.
They are in raised brick beds by a greengage tree - do you think the competition is too great?
The veg next to them eg courgettes doing splendidly..

It depends what kind of yellow the leaves are:

If they are yellow between the veins (intervein chlorosis) then it is a magnesium deficiency and a foliar feed of 2oz per can of water of epsom salts should improve them.

If it is yellow along the veins and green between them then it is caused by a virus (no cure  )

Happens every year to some of mine. We have had tons of fruit and there are plenty of new canes coming.
They are greedy feeders and have just put in a huge effort to fill our freezer and keep us up to our eyes in raspberries. You'd be feeling a bit pale if you had just gone through this. When they finish fruiting (which will be soon) I cut out the old canes quickly and give the remaining ones a feed and another mulch.
The yellow ones among the new canes quickly come back to health - and I usually thin them out in September for next year's fruiting.
