Is it really ok to use Frontline on chickens?? I know its not recommended, but I always have stocks with four cats and three dogs, you need to! And if so, surely you dont use the same amount on a chook that you would put on a 3kg cat? Any advice?

My vet prescribed it for my chickens (although I did have to sign as it's not tested for poultry). She gave me the spray type which administers a dose of 0.5ml per spray and according to the label a medium short haired cat weighing  4 kg would need 3 - 6 ml per kg which would be 6 - 12 sprays per kg. I gave my young chicks just 1 spray each as she said to use it very very sparingly. As for the drops I think you are supposed to use the stuff for kittens at a dosage of 1 - 2 drops only, although I may be wrong on this and I'm sure someone who has used this will be along soon to advise.
