Christmas Potatoes
« on: July 05, 2009, 21:07 »
Hi guys

When do you plant potatoes for Christmas?

Is it best to plant them in the ground at this time off year or bags/buckets?

Also where is best place to get them?

I only got the plot this year and only got three small rows of pots in so not going to have many :-( so hopefully if i can get some to last me from now to winter that would be great

I've ordered Carlingford from Suttons Seeds and they will go into a new bed I'm digging in the hen run (with mesh all around to stop the little blighters from getting at them ::)
