Hi
I have cut some of the hallums of of my Charlottes is it alright to leave in Pot till I am ready.

Some of the hallums have gone yellow same question as above.

Snap again :lol: but mine are vivaldi, but i've already picked enough for a few weeks so thought i'd leave the rest where they are.
Now i get to find out if it's a good idea or not :D

I dont think the tubers will get any bigger if the foliage has died,however it is easier to store them if they are still in the ground or container.

Yes, they'll be fine, although as beansticks has posted, they will stop growing.

There is a school of thought, apparently, that suggests potatoes left for a week or so after the haulms are cut are less prone to losing their skins when boiled/steamed. I have just given my first earlies a pretty severe haircut and will be looking to see if this is true!  :)

Thanks question answered. 

I had a vague recollection that my motherin law used to bury her sack of bought potates to keep them fresh, but don't quote me on that though.  Not worried about them getting any bigger, I have far too much this year, I've left two pots alone to get a bit bigger.
