Stopping outdoor tomatoes
« on: July 01, 2009, 12:11 »
Hi all,

I know you're meant to stop tomato plants at some stage so that they can concentrate on ripening fruit. I've got Gardeners Delight and Alicante cordon tomatoes in pots outside, most of them have 3 or 4 sets of trusses now. Should I let them produce more, or is now a good time to stop them (i.e. pinch out the growing tip)?

Personally, I stop them at about that stage.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
