Hi everyone.

I'm not that keen on courgettes, but have been given a plant and it seems to be growing fine.

- Except that in the last couple of days, 3 flowers have been removed, seemingly very carefully nipped through just below the base of the flower.

Does anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this and what I can do to avoid it happening again?

All thoughts appreciated.

are you sure they haven't just  fallen off natually? it is a pretty clean cut when they do

If they have disappeared completely I would suspect someone is having them for lunch.  They are a delicacy.

No - I'm not sure they're not coming off naturally; they probably are, as I can't see any teeth marks! And the flowers don't seem to be munched at all.

What could cause them to just spontaneously fall off? We've had some prety heavy rain today, but that's the first we've had for a while. And even though it's been windy recently, the plant is - of course - quite low to the ground and the wind is unlikely to have singled it out.....

As I said, I'm not that fussed about the vegetable, but I am intrigued...
