[Beetroot queen]

I picked the first two runner beans yesterday and found a 10 and 12 inch one, I looked at the 12 inch and thought OMG that would win the longest runner comp. I couldnt for the life of my think how long runners usually are 

I got the tape measure and it measured in at 12 and a half inches I was beaming, sent the pic to everyone I know, so proud of my runner bean.

I got home and googled and realised my runner was average sized and now I feel a fool. 

My winners cup for me then this year  It looked so long on the bean wam

whilst your beans are a good size , there are beans that actually grow to about 3 foot long , they are called miler long beans ,

but yours is a good size , enjoy
