Pathclear

Does todays pathclear contain any glyphosate. I have just read the ingredients on the box in my shed. It has been there a year or two so has it been changed?

It contains 4 chemicals. diquat and paraquat which kill off leafy growth, amintrole and simazine which are residual and prevent plants germinating for up to 6 months.

Good on gravel paths but not organic.

As fas as I can ascertain, this is the current version of Pathclear.

Pathclear Season Long

It does indeed contain glyphosate.

Please have a look at this thread. Proceed with caution!

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Does this mixture still have a rapid knock down or is it slow like glyphosate.

I'm fairly sure that the Pathclear in your shed isn't legal to be used any more, Salmo

Have a look at this page from the pesticides database - if unsure, check the MAFF product number on the bottle to confirm, but I'm fairly sure that that combination of active ingredients hasn't been allowed to be used for 4 or 5 years now

http://www.pesticides.gov.uk/garden.asp?id=1198

I'm not sure how quickly the new stuff works, as I intend to palm it off to my Dad who can use it on his drive (I've not tried it on the allotment, now I've read the instructions)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I am sure mine is banned as it contains paraquat. What is the best way to dispose of it?

Anyone can correct me if Im wrong, but your council should have a helpline (through environmental, parks and departments that will let you know where to dispose of it

I think our local tip / amenity waste centre has a place in it for this sort of thing, but yes your council will be able to advise you.
