I don't know why i had'nt thorght of it sooner and have been using cd's on strings, which where ok at scarring the pesky birds, But when i was down the old seaside, in a sudden flash of insparation i spotted them wind mill on stick things. well to cut a long story short, the windmill comes on a hollow stick, which slips quite well over a slim green cane, which means that its not fixed in one postition so is able to spin and follow the wind round and make a noise most of the time. fantastic   or have i just spent to much time up the garden on my own
