Black Fly "GRRRR!"
« on: June 19, 2009, 22:33 »
We have black fly attacking our runners and broad beans! Does anyone have a good homemade recipe for eradicating the beasts other than the regulation water, soap and oil concotion? They seemed to be manageable on the home plot but the allotment seems to be a whole different and blackfly laden kettle of fish!

You could try planting some Nasturtiums near by..?  Black fly adore them and they don't suffer too much and while the black fly are munching on those they AREN'T munching on your beans.
