Just wondered if we're allowed to raise pheasants for breeding, anyone know?

If they belong to you, I don't see why not.
My next door neighbour was given 3 brace of three different colours, as a birthday present from her gamekeeper Son, about 15 years ago, no probs.  Except that their feathers weren't clipped in time the following year and their offspring have been flying around the valley for several years.

I was a gamekeeper for 10 years rearing many pheasant and there are no restrictions on keeping them or breeding them at all.

If you need any specific advice please PM and i will try to help

Very spooky critters, need a lot of space and some of them will only lay small clutches a year hence the expense. Amerhurst are very nice looking.

If you are rearing just normal ring necked or black necked pheasants then the costs are not too bad. Its coming to the end of thier laying season soon as they tend to lay from 1st April for around 3 months.

And there are no restrictions on selling them on but as Hensington said they do tend to be a be jumpy and would need some cover in the run to hide away from people in.
