god what a difference a week makes :shock: ,ok everything was growing,but this week everything seems to have shot up,thanks to all the sunshine.i put some courgette seeds in at the weekend and they are up already :shock: ,my tomatos which were beginning to look a bit leggy have bushed out more and cucumber plant is about 5 inchs high :D
must remember to open greenhouse through the day though as i dont want wilted seedlings :lol:

Yes - mine got to over 30deg C yesterday, and it's in partial shade!
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Picking up on opening the greenhouse, I'm not a morning person. Unless you count 2am as morning, that is. So by the time I get down the sun has been up for a fair time and the greenhouse can turn into a cooker.

That's why I fitted autovents - they just open the window and close it again according to the temperature.  Just over £20 each and they last for years. I've also got a solar powered cooling fan in the home greenhouse. Sunnier the day, the more it whirrs along.

second that John, them autovents are superb, dont forget the little nursey type people, mine cost 15 quid and its a good one.

I've got a louvre window kit and auto opener for the big greenhouse to fit next.  Ventilation is as important as heating is in winter
