[Snap Dragon]

I've been bringing on my little brassicas (sprouts, cabbages, PSB, caulis and broc) at home before moving them to my plot.

We're off on our holidays next week for a fortnight so should I try and get them all planted at the plot before I go away or leave them in their various sized cells at home and plant them when I get back?

They are between 3 - 4 inches tall at the moment.

They'll be better off planted IMO    as long as you can net them against the dreaded CWB

I left mine in pots a couple of weeks too long last year and when planted out every last one of them bolted, so I'd say plant them out too.

Definitely get them in! - Sink them up to their necks, firm up and puddle in. Oh, and in addition to the netting..... Don't forget the anti slug measures!

IF you have someone who will water the Pots, AND no-one who will water the Plot, then I would be inclined to pot them on to a larger sized pot (4" - 5"), give them to the pot-waterer and plant them when you get back.

If someone will water the plot then get them in! (Puddle in, as suggested, then they will only need watering once whilst you are away - after about 7 days)

We're off to the lottie in the morning... while little one is at pre school.... to finish weeding and digging over the sprout bed and hopefully Friday morning will be mass brassica planting day!

My Mum & Dad have been nominated as plot waters when we're away so they can kee an eye on them!

I've ordered some butterfly netting from Harrod Horti but I don't think it will get here in time  so I might need to resort to some cheap stuff from Wilkos!
