i am trying to cope with greenfly on my lettuce. Iknow they may be extra protein but i would rther get it from other sources! Anybody got any ideas as to how to keep it away

spray with water from sprayer , greenflies and aphids breath through their bodies , maybe add a little cheap washing up liquid

If you are the on-pesticide persuasion , try spraying with diluted washing up liquid .

Or if you don't mind a bit of chemical warfare, then use a bug spray such as Bug Clear or other green/white/black fly spray.

You could also introduce ladybirds to your garden in the future.
